Starting Monday, August 28, the outside traffic lane closures on East Washington Street will continue at Cole Street and extend to the Interstate 74 eastbound on-ramp. The lane closures are expected to last until Friday, September 8.
The lane closures from Cole Street to Springfield Road are continuing while East Peoria Public Works crews wait for the delivery of parts needed to finish water valve and service line work. In the meantime, that work is going to begin on the section of East Washington between Springfield Road and the I-74 ramp.
Motorists can expect delays in the work area and should consider the use of alternate routes.
