From IDOT: Interstate 74 between Main Street/U.S. 150 (Exit 95A) and Washington Street (Exit 96) in East Peoria will close in both directions overnight on Saturday, Aug. 5. The closure is necessary for routine maintenance on the Fondulac Drive Bridge over I-74 and will be from 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug 5 to 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6., during which time the Fondulac Drive Bridge also will be closed. A detour will be posted.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered.
