Attention drivers: The kids are back in school. The East Peoria Police Department asks that motorists watch for the school buses and children walking to bus stops and to school.
On a two-lane road or highway, vehicles traveling in both directions must stop when the school bus stop arm is out.
On a multi-lane road with four or more lanes, and on divided roads or highways, vehicles behind the bus must stop. Those traveling in the opposite direction should proceed with caution.
