Tazewell County Consolidated Communications (TC3) is seeking a deputy director due to a pending retirement as well as telecommunicators. TC3 provides dispatch of police, fire and EMS for participating agencies throughout Tazewell County.
Deputy Director Position
The Deputy Director serves as the point person for training and technology as well as support to the director for the planning, organizing, staffing and general direction of the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) which provide dispatch services for 46 agencies in Tazewell County for law enforcement, fire and ambulance services. Multi-tasking and attentive people 18 and over with people-oriented demeanor and extraordinary customer service skills are sought to work at TC3 (Tazewell County Consolidated Communications - 911 dispatch center) to serve as Telecommunicators. The best candidates need to be quick thinkers for our fast paced environment and work well under pressure with time sensitive, confidential matters.
Training is provided. While in training you will work all three shifts and upon completion will be assigned a regular shift which may include working on weekends and will include working some holidays.
TC3 offers excellent benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, IMRF pension, holiday pay, vacation and sick pay. Starting pay is $18.993 per hour with signing and retention bonuses available. Also there is a $500 signing bonus upon start date, $500 at the end of training and $500 after one year.
Selected candidates will be required to pass a typing test, a multi-tasking assessment, and an extensive police background check.
