[ARCHIVED] One-dose COVID vaccine clinic April 9

Gloved hand holding a bottle of liquid

The Tazewell County Health Department is partnering with the Illinois National Guard Rapid Response Team to offer a "one and done" Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The vaccine is a single-dose injection. The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, April 9 at Veterans Memorial Ice Rink, 250 Red Bud Memorial Drive, Pekin. Appointments are required and are done online. Recipients must be age 18 years or older and live and/or work in Tazewell, Peoria and Woodford counties to schedule and appointment.

Once an appointment is scheduled, the recipient must receive a confirmation text and/or email. Once the confirmation text and/or email is received, a QR code should populate. The QR code must be brought to the appointment, printed on a smartphone or tablet.

Be sure to wear appropriate clothing to receive a vaccine. Make sure to be on time for the appointment because those more than 10 minutes late may be turned away.

Those with questions about the vaccine should contact their medical provider prior to scheduling an appointment.
