[ARCHIVED] Public hearing set for Cedar Street Extension bridges replacement

A public hearing about the preliminary engineering study to replace the bridges that carry the Cedar Street Extension over Main Street and the railroad tracks immediately west in East Peoria will be conducted by the Illinois Department of Transportation from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 11 at the Festival Building, 2200 East Washington Street. The hearing will be in open house format.

In addition to the bridge replacements, the study also covers reconstruction of the Cedar Street Extension/Main Street interchange. IDOT staff will be on hand to present project information, answer questions and take public comments on the two-year, $37 million project. Exhibits, plans, maps and a tentative construction schedule will be available for review.
