Economic Development
The Economic Development division formulates and implements programs to increase job opportunities, expand the City’s tax base and increase economic activity. The division is also involved with revitalizing the City’s riverfront and downtown areas.
Regional Development
Working with our regional partner, the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, meetings occur regularly with local businesses as well as site selectors seeking new locations for their clients. This division also manages the East Peoria portion of the Northern Tazewell Enterprise Zone as well as the City’s Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) - a low interest, short-term loan for businesses.
