Rebuilding Together Home Repair Program

About "Rebuilding Together"

Lower income homeowners whose houses need moderate repairs or upgrades are encouraged to apply for help through Rebuilding Together.

Rebuilding Together is an area volunteer organization which generally selects one or two project houses in East Peoria each year. The program uses donated funds, materials and semi-skilled labor at no cost to the homeowner. Repair work ranges from yard clean-up to more extensive renovations involving plastering, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs. The work will be done in April.


To be considered for the program, the house must be an owner-occupied unit. The insurance must be maintained and taxes paid and up to date. The homeowner must lack other reasonable means for getting the work done, either financially or physically.

Homes must be located within the corporate city limits to be eligible.
