Where do I get a solicitor permit to go door to door in the city?

This is a two-step process that begins with going to City Hall to apply for the permit. There are fees associated with the issuance of a permit that both the company and each employee must pay. The second step that must be completed before being allowed to go door to door is that the applicants must go to the police department where they are issued digital photo IDs that prove they have provided the information necessary to solicit in the city. This ID in no way constitutes endorsement of the company, the employees, or the products they are soliciting by the City of East Peoria.
